From the 1920s-50s, Welton Street in Five Points was home to over fifty bars and clubs, where some of the greatest jazz musicians such as Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Nat King Cole, Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie, and others performed.
The highly regarded group is based out of Colorado and can be often heard playing in Denver at Dazzle Jazz Club. Greg also founded the Greg Gisbert Syndicate in early 2016 and appeared in an eight-week Artist in Residency at Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club.

The Night of the Cookers: Live at Club la Marchal, Vols. 1 & 2 are a pair of separate but related live albums by American jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard recorded at la Marchal jazz club over Friday and Saturday night, April 9–10, 1965 [citation needed] and released on Blue Note in 1965 and 1966 respectively.
According to Jet Magazine and Indianapolis Recorder articles in 1953, he quit playing in the Denver Symphony to become the bass player in Nellie Lutcher's band. He went on to become a prominent jazz player in the scene of Five Points, Denver, and was featured in the PBS documentary on the subject.
