American Freight Appliances & Furniture, or American Freight, is an American retail furniture chain founded by Steve Belford in Lima, Ohio in 1994. The company was acquired in 2020 by Franchise Group and combined with former Sears Surplus and Sears Outlet stores under the American Freight name.
Roebuck was Sears's first employee, and he later became co-founder of Sears, Roebuck & Company, which was formed in 1891 when Sears was 28 years old. In 1895 the company was short of cash and Roebuck had left the business. Sears sold one half of the company for $75,000.00 to Aaron Nusbaum and his brother-in-law, Julius Rosenwald.
Sears Point was named after Franklin Sears, who settled on 600 acres (2.4 km 2) south of Sonoma in 1851. Later, he partnered with his father-in-law to purchase some 15,000 acres (61 km 2 ), part of which is the present-day Sonoma Raceway racetrack.

William Frederick Sears (1868 – 23 March 1929) was an Irish Sinn Féin and later Cumann na nGaedheal politician. Sears was born in Neale, County Mayo in 1868. He was elected as a Sinn Féin MP for the Mayo South constituency at the 1918 general election.
