GPA is calculated by using the number of grade points a student earns in a given period of time. [2] GPAs are often calculated for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, and can be used by potential employers or educational institutions to assess and compare applicants.
l = slope length. α = angle of inclination. The grade (US) or gradient (UK) (also called stepth, slope, incline, mainfall, pitch or rise) of a physical feature, landform or constructed line refers to the tangent of the angle of that surface to the horizontal. It is a special case of the slope, where zero indicates horizontality.
Calculate the grade distribution in terms of percentages for the reference group. Include the grading percentage table of your degree programme in every Transcript of Records/Diploma Supplement. For transfer, compare the percentage table of the other institution's degree programme with your own.
List of law school GPA curves. Many, or perhaps most, law schools in the United States grade on a norm-referenced grading curve. The process generally works within each class, where the instructor grades each exam, and then ranks the exams against each other, adding to and subtracting from the initial grades so that the overall grade ...

Academic grading. In the Philippines, some universities follow a 4-Point Scale, which resembles or is equivalent to the U.S. grading system. This system uses a grade between 0.00 to 4.00 wherein 4.00 is the highest and 0.00 being a failing mark.
Sufficiency starts at 6. The "+" symbol stands for "+0.25" (5+=5.25) and the "-" symbol stands for "-0.25" (6-=5.75). Some professors, however, also use symbols such as 5++, 5/6 and 6--, which have no precise value. There has been a push in recent years to uniform the system to the 0–10 scale.

The ECF grading system addresses this by changing the mathematical frame of reference for those aged under 18. The system above uses each player's grade from the previous cycle to calculate the personal grade. For juniors this uses year instead of cycle (including the recalculation of grades of junior opponents).
