A United States Air Force Lockheed Martin F-16CM Fighting Falcon, 89-2108, from the 421st Fighter Squadron, 388th Fighter Wing, based at Hill Air Force Base, Ogden, Utah crashed on a night training flight on the Utah Test and Training Range. The pilot, Capt. George B. Houghton, died in the crash which occurred 35 miles (56 km) S of Wendover, Utah.
