Yuma Model Railroaders

Yuma Model Railroaders Model Railroad Club. The YMRR has meetings and work sessions that occur throughout the month round robin style. We presently have an operating portable HO Scale model railroad that at the 2009 County Fair display measured 24' by 44' and operated by over 20 members. All scales and interests are welcome though as we encourage everyone to learn about and enjoy all forms of the hobby known as 'The World's Greatest Hobby". Many of our over 30 members enjoy 'railfanning' along the active UP line locally, and many travel around the area to other railroad related events.
Our HO scale modular train display has been displayed during the Yuma County Fair, also the Yuma Toy and Doll Show held at the Civic Center the first Saturday in February, at the Southgate Mall and other locations around Yuma during the year. YMRR members with modules are also members of the National Model Railroad Association and attend many of the NMRA events in the region.
We are currently planning a display layout of the Yuma area for our soon to be permanent location.
