Gephart draws on her more than 30 years experience painting en plein air to express her appreciation for the environment through oils and pastels. Each painting is a multisensory response to capture the mood of the landscape at that moment in time.
Creating environmental awareness through her work, she has partnered with preservation organizations throughout the region for more than two decades including the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania, The Clearwater Conservancy and The Centre County Farmland Trust and the Farmland Preservation Artists. Gephart graduated with honors with an Associate in Art from Montgomery County Community College in 1977 and with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Penn State in 1979. In 2007, she was induced into The Montgomery County Community College Alumni Hall of Fame. Gephart's artwork was first exhibited in the HUB-Robeson Galleries in 1987.
