Corner of College and Allen Streets

Friday May 1 Bike to Work or School Competition CRBC is sponsoring a day of competition to see which group can recruit the largest number of bikers to ride to school or work that day. Event volunteers will staff a table at the corner of College and Allen Streets downtown from 8 am until 5pm. Bicyclers can check in there to report the group they are with. At the end of the day the group with the largest number of participants will be given a certificate for a Clem’s Barbecue Dinner. Organizations including The Penn State Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Penn State Transportation, Penn State Office Of Sustainability and The Penn State Institute of Energy and the Environment will have representatives with information about sustainable transportation and safe bicycling in this area. CATA, will have staff on hand to teach folks how to load bikes onto buses and give out information about combining biking with using public transportation.
