The 16th president’s bicentennial is being celebrated all year at the Abraham Lincoln museum in Springfield, Ill. Check out the multi-screen, multi-stage special effects theater presentation, “Lincoln’s Eyes.” It tells Lincoln’s story through the eyes of an artist painting Lincoln’s portrait. The Holavision Theatre’s “Ghosts of the Library” answers the questions: “Why does history matter? Why we save all that old stuff?” Allow about 2½ to 3 hours for your visit. The museum and its exhibits are designed for students in the fourth grade and up.
