Ottis Coleman Band

The Ottis Coleman Band with Mark Tays and Robert Hilton is a stripped down, bare bones rock 'n roll trio from Austin, Texas. They feature original tunes that have been written by the plank spanker extraordinaire, Ottis Coleman. Mark and Robert offer arrangement ideas and threaten to pen some originals, themselves. To date, these songs all belong to Ottis, bless his heart. The songs range from blues, to funk, to pop, to edgy rock, to ballads, and even a latin flavored diddy. This is a tough band to pigeon-hole into a genre, but with the three-part harmonies evolving, the unit is beginning to develop "a sound".
