The Summer Space Series is an annual series of programs that, through multiple visits, will give you a deeper understanding of an astronomy concept. This year, participate in activities and presentations highlighting the hundreds of billions of galaxies in our Universe. In our third session, we'll bring it "home" to the Milky Way, one of the most dramatic features of the night sky. Its faint, hazy band of light, called the "milky circle" by the ancient Greeks, is home to an estimated 300 billion stars, including our own Sun.
