The five members of the Ethic Ensemble come from different culutral and ethnic backgrounds and truly reflect the varied musical styles of Israel. The music performed by the ensemble relies on Eastern European, Balkan and Gypsy traditions. Naturally, it combines materials from the countries of origins of the musicians, the Sephardic traditional music. Mediterranean influences, the music of the Yemenite Jews and some original music as well. Israeli culture is the product of an immigrant society and brings together Bulkan music alongside the sounds of Morocco, traditional Russian music side by side with Arabic and Middle Eastern tradition music and so on. The Ensemble's unique performances represent the diverse and colorful cultural characters of Israeli music.
