Liberty Station's way-tucked-away Tender Greens serves soups, sammies, five micro salads and 10 monster salads. Each is freshly tossed to order via a delicious looking, don't-do-it-yourself salad bar. The Grilled Chicken Cobb sports hefty nuggets of meaty bacon and creamy knobs of blue cheese, and the Salad in the Raw features eight veggies and raw nuts, topped with a "living vinaigrette." Angus flank steak, chicken, local albacore or vegetables from Temecula can be served as a ciabatta sandwich or a hot plate, and are accompanied by your choice of a small salad (Caesar, baby arugula and butter lettuce, to name a few).
Big-name local brews like Karl Strauss and Coronado Brewing Co. are on tap, and wines from near (Temecula), far (Spain) and points in between are served by the bottle. Fresh hibiscus lemonade is a tart refresher.
In the maze of Liberty Station, the restaurant is hidden from nearly everyone except the curious Point Loman, but once there, you'll find an airy, high-ceilinged, quick-service joint that feels much more fresh than fast. A breezy patio takes advantage of summer sunshine.
