10th annual SPIPA Auction

The South Puget Intertribal Planning Agency (SPIPA) is a nonprofit consortium serving the Chehalis, Nisqually, Shoalwater Bay, Squaxin Island, and Skokomish Tribes.
Tickets are $75 and there will be a beautiful seafood buffet, entertainment by Johnny Moses (Tulalip) and Pawnee Brown.
The revenue from the event benefits the community members of our five tribes, with focus on our Elders and youth.
We estimate that we will have between 33-40 items in the live auction with about 10 silent auction tables.
We have a paddle painted and carved on both sides from Fred Shortman (Chehalis). We have another paddle carved by Dave Shafer (Cherokee) who has sold paddles the world over. We also have an original piece from well-known artist and storyteller Roger Fernandes (Lower Elwha Band of the Klallam Indians), an original from a younger artist Matthew Bell (Squaxin Island Tribe), limited editied prints from well-known regional artist Dale Clark (Makah), a woven red cedar hat from first-time contributor Patti Puhn (Squaxinn Island, from the long live of weavers), as well as packages such as a private wine-tasting at Hoodsport Winery for a small group. There are promised items we anticipate having such as a basket from Chehalis master-weaver Marie Griwold, another basket promiksed by Paula Henry (Squaxin Island), as well as a red cedar hat and button-style wall-hanging from Janelle BlackOwl (Mandan)
The $75 tickets can be purchased by calling SPIPA at 360/426-3990. Doors open at 5:30. We anticipate that dinner will be at 6:30, and the auction will follow the dinner and entertainment.
