I love this place ! Let me tell you about it:
The best country bar in Portland; a legendary lounge featuring Live Country Music for over 30 years. No cover charge
Huge, Open honkytonk easily seats several hundred, and its NEW (JAN 2009) Texas-size dance floor is filled with dancers most any night of the week. Attracting a multi-generational crowd, everyone is made to feel welcome. Though service at times can be a bit slow - you can always stop by the bar on your way in to pick up your first beverage. With few exceptions, the staff are pleasant and professional. (I suggest not judging an establishment by one visit or one server).
In addition to the live music and dancing:
Mondays & Tuesdays: Country karaoke.
Wednesdays and Thursdays: DJ & Dancing (free dance lessons 7:30-8:30pm).
Fridays Live music & Dancing (free dance lessons 7:30-8:30pm).
Saturdays Live Music & Dancing
Occasional special events featuring national touring acts and comedy all-stars.
There are also Pool Tables, Sports on big screens, Oregon Lottery games and Video Poker Machines
