From Away

The 13th annual From Away festival of international playwriting celebrates the voices of international playwrights by bringing talented writers from around the world to Portland, where excerpts from their work are performed in translation. This year’s event features readings from the work of Vicente Garcia Groyon (The Philippines), Marius Ivaskevicius (Lithuania), and Salomat Vafo (Uzbekistan), followed by an open forum discussion between the writers, Portland Stage artists and the audience.
