The Hatters

The Hatters blend of blues-influenced rock, with high-energy funk and some folk established the New York City band on the club circuit. Atlantic signed the band in 1993, and released Live Thunderchicken, culled from their club appearances. The Madcap Adventures of the Avocado Overlord, their debut, appeared in March 1994. The band includes Adam Hirsh (vocals, guitar), Adam Evans (guitar, vocals), Billy Jay Stein (keyboards, vocals), Jon Kaplan (bass), and Tommy Kaelin (drums). ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
