Neil Harris grew up in London and studied acting and political theater at The Central School of Speech and Drama, before moving to Israel at the age of 22 in 1979. Currently, Neil facilitates programs in Israel on Jewish/Palestinian-Arab Dialogue, HIV and AIDS Prevention, Gay and Lesbian Youth, and incorporates dance improvisation and Theater of the Oppressed techniques into two groups that he facilitates on a regular basis--a support group for people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as a group of women in a battered women’s shelter. He is also on the faculty at The American Dance Festival, teaching Dance Composition alongside Mark Haim and Ming-Lung Yang .
