Croff Family Band

since 2002 croff has been making music as a solo act, beginning with that year's ep, '3 minute singles,' and continuing through 2005's self-titled full length. each release has featured a variety of detroit-based musicians, including members of the sights, the hard lessons, the pop project, dcarlo, silent violet and others.

promotion has been handled - if somewhat sporatically - by a live act of rotating members. september 2008 marked the latest in a long series of band incarnations, indefinitely borrowing the talents of a number of locals already known for their work with other notable acts. croff recently completed his own second full-length record, 'a cake for a file,' and true to form, it features contributions from members of the hard lessons, ghost city, darling imperial, solitary states, the beggars, dial 81, sey lui, and september on, to name a few.

besides his solo ambitions, croff may also be found playing keys for local eccentrics the dead bodies, and briefly played with the dale wilson-fronted four hour friends. in between he also co-produced (with levi stubbz) the debut record for detroit rapper pick up.
