Keeping Score is an eclectic 4-piece hardcore band from Sacramento. The band has already sprouted a strong following after only about a year of playing gigs. They have been diligently carving out their own niche in the Sacramento underground rock scene. Keeping Score has been playing underground clubs and bars for the better part of a year now.
They are fronted by the intensity and presence of vocalist Cliff Roberts who majored in Music in Popular Cultures @ UC Berkeley. Cliff is a long time musician who was formally trained in piano, guitar and even saxophone while growing up, but with Keeping Score Cliff is vocals only.
Ryan Thibault, the band's bassist, also has a strong background in the academic world. The high level of intellect that one point earned Ryan a 4.6 G.P.A., and a degree in chemical engineering is applied today to the brilliantly thumping bass lines of Keeping Score.
Brandon Fuller (drums) is touted by the band as the "experienced" one. He has been performing with Sacramento punk bands since the tender of age of 13. Brandon has even performed with one of his previous bands on a leg of the Van's Warped Tour, one of the largest and longest running alternative music festivals in the US.
The band is led by guitarist, Louie Sanchez, who is also the main songwriter of the group. His unique approach and drive to write creative, abstract, atypical, yet accessible tunes is a large part of the reason for Keeping Score's very distinctive sound.
