Battlefields

Part of the ever-increasing wave of post metal bands that showed up in the mid point of decade one of the 21st century, Minnesota's Battlefields (Rusty Steele -- vocals, Andrew Wallin -- guitar, Matt Ricigliano -- guitar, Ryan Coffer -- bass, and Rob Schmidt -- drums) released their first album, Stained With the Blood of An Empire, in 2006 and drew comparisons to such bands as Neurosis. The critically well received band then released an EP, the one track Entourage of the Archaic, in 2007. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
