Fall Pioneer Day

The Department of Environmental Protection's Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park will hold its fall Pioneer Day event on November 7, 2009. This event is sponsored by the Friends of Emerald Coast State Parks. Family activities will include candle-dipping, soap making, blacksmithing, rag doll making, weaving and campfire cooking demonstration. Other special activities include live dulcimer and flute music, quilting, storytelling and more. The main feature is a restored late 1800's chuck wagon. Activities and displays range from musical entertainment to hands on pioneer crafts.
