I would recommend renting bikes to anyone visiting Central Park, it's a must and it can be easily done in a couple of hours. This is a good place to get nice comfortable (and working!) bikes, they can adjust the seats to your height and there're bottle holders, we were able to leave our shopping bags in the store while we were biking.

the central park bike tours were so much fun. my wife and kids had a blast riding through out the park. the bikes are in pristine and well functioning condition. my children were fitted on trek kids bikes while my wife and i were fitted on trek's cruiser line. the ride was extremely comfortable and relaxed. my family and i did the whole 6 mile loop in about 2 hours. i was astonished to see the city's natural beauty and sights. the park has so many attractions to offer and the best way to go about seeing them all is by bike.
