Einstein - One of the Greatest Minds of Our Time-
through December 6, 2009
Einstein is the most comprehensive exhibition ever presented on the life and theories of Albert Einstein (1879-1955), one of the most brilliant scientists of all time.
His face is instantly recognizable; his name a synonym for "genius." Not since Galileo and Newton has one scientist so advanced our understanding of the universe. But unlike his predecessors, Albert Einstein's qualities as a member of society and a humanitarian defined him as an icon. He is a legend whose imagination helped shape the 20th century.
This absorbing exhibition brings together cutting-edge interactive exhibits that animate Einstein's most revolutionary theories; videos about his life, science and legacy; hands-on activities and a learning lab; and facsimiles of his manuscripts and personal letters to his loved ones, all under one roof.
The exhibit is divided into sections, including: Einstein's Revolution, Life and Times, Light, Time, Energy, Gravity, Einstein in Peace and War, Global Citizen and Einstein's Legacy.
The tour of Einstein is made possible byTIAA-CREF. In Midland, Einstein is sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company and Dow Corning Corporation. Media sponsor is Citadel Broadcasting. This exhibition is organized by the American Museum of Natural History, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Skirball Cultural Center, Los Angeles.
