The Village Smokehouse opened their doors in Lowell to hungry barbecue lovers in October 2008. A sister restaurant to the Village Smokehouse in Brookline, the new restaurant is located in the historic Arts District which has seen a boom in business as part of an area renaissance. The location has a rich heritage in presenting live music having housed legendary Lowell music rooms Evo’s Art Institute and Capo’s.
