Rev. Horace R. Smith's 60th Pastoral Anniversary

Approximately ten years ago, the Lexington Herald-Leader wrote an article on two brothers from the Lexington area: G.M Smith and Horace Smith. At the time, these men had been pastors of their churches for 50 years.

Rev. G.M. Smith passed away on May 1, 2009. Rev. Horace R. Smith will be celebrating his 60th year as the pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church, 541 Jefferson Street, Lexington, during the weekend of November 14, 15, 2009. A banquet will be held in his honor on Saturday, November 14th and a reception will follow the morning worship anniversary celebration on Sunday, November 15, 2009.
