Raymond the Amish Comic is making another appearance at Penn's Peak!
Raymond the Amish comic is truly that, Amish. He was born and raised Amish, but became a stand-up comedian after fellow employees at a stressful day job urged him to deliver his material on a local radio show. He has since been performing stand up for the past 14 years. The stage is a comfort zone to him, a relaxing home in a world that hasn't always accepted him. Performing allows him to blend both his upbringing with his current lifestyle. "On stage, I don't have to worry about fitting into one world or alienating another world." "I am naughty. I don't deliver any prayer meetings." He says ". . . people come to my shows with the sole intention of proving that I am not nor have I ever been Amish . . . ." Raymond has appeared in TV commercials, the movie "For Richer or Poorer" with Tim Allen, MTV, Philly After Midnight and he can be heard quite often on 95.1 WZZO out of Allentown.
