NASA/ART: 50 Years of Exploration

Exhibition celebrates NASA’s 50th anniversary with 72 works from the NASA Art Program and the National Air and Space Museum. The archives range from the illustrative to the abstract, featuring original paintings, photographs, sculpture and other media by artists including Annie Leibowitz, Nam June Paik, Norman Rockwell, Doug and Mike Starn, Andy Warhol and Jamie Wyeth. Artists were commissioned by NASA to create works that embodied the accomplishments and setbacks of space exploration.
