Ralphie May is one of the most popular comedians in the country. He can currently be seen in 87 million living rooms nationwide on a regular basis with his one-hour special, "Ralphie May: Prime Cut" on Comedy Central which premiered November 3, 2007. The special premiered to higher ratings than Larry the Cable Guy or Ron White during Comedy Central's "Blue Collar Weekend" and continues to be played in rotation. Filmed in front of a live audience in Knoxville, TN, Ralphie is the first comedian in history to record two specials in one night. "Prime Cut" is the follow-up to "Girth of a Nation" which aired on Comedy Central last year, November 7, 2006. Both were followed by a DVD and CD of the same name, released by Warner Bros. Records. In 2004, Melee Entertainment released Ralphie's first DVD titled "Just Correct," and it has since reached platinum sales status. The CD of the same name also debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Comedy Charts and was followed by a nationwide tour. Known for his hip-hop brand of comedy, Ralphie has his ebonics and quick wit down pat, which has earned him roles in such urban films as "For Da Love Of Money" and "Gas." He was also the only white comedian to perform on "The Big Black Comedy Show," along with Mo'Nique, Rodman, Sexy Marie and Vince Morris. Ralphie has a proven track record of selling out multiple shows in 1,500 to 3,000 seat venues. He has a no nonsense point of view and the ability to connect with a diverse audience by pointing out society's hypocrisies. Ralphie doesn't shy away from touchy topics or ethnic jokes, nor does he bite his tongue when society suggests, because he sincerely believes that as long as what he's saying is true, people need to hear it. On his latest CD/ DVD, "Girth of a Nation" from Warner Bros. Records, Ralphie bounces back and forth between clean and dirty; offensive and sensitive all at once. No topic is off limits whether it be betting on the over/ under of total lives lost in the 2004 tsunami, the death of Pope John Paul II, midgets, or retarded people. On the small screen, Ralphie has worked as a writer and producer on ESPN's "Mohr Sports" starring Jay Mohr and performed stand-up on numerous late night talk shows including four appearances on CBS's "The Late Late Show w/ Craig Kilborn" as well as eleven appearances on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He has appeared on "The Man Show" and MTV's "Bash" as well as guest-starred on NBC's "Whoopie." As if that's not enough, on one of his recent appearances on "The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno," he received a standing ovation, the first comedian in 10 years to receive this honor. Ralphie currently resides in Los Angeles with his beautiful wife Lahna, their two wonderful dogs Pimp and Hoochie Mama, and their new baby girl, April June May, born on September 5, 2007.
