Writers whose work appears in Kudzu, HCTC’s literary magazine, will read. The emcee, as always, will be poet and swarper Jim Webb. This year the featured poet is Bianca Spriggs. Bianca Spriggs lives and works in Lexington, Kentucky where she is Visiting Writer at Transylvania University. Bianca is the author of Kaffir Lily and her poems may be found in the collections, Open Me, Patchwork Woman, and The Bottle Tree, as well as the anthologies, New Growth: Recent Kentucky Writings, and America! What's My Name?, and journals published by Alehouse Press, Torch, ArtScene, and the Langston Hughes Colloquy. She is the featured poet at the 2010 Evening with Poets. On April 23, she will hold three poetry writing workshops as part of the annual Spring Writers Conference in Hazard.
