The HCTC Greater Hazard Area Performing Arts Series in partnership with the Kentucky School of Bluegrass and Traditional Music and the HCTC Spring Writers Conference is proud to present the first Mountain Songwriters Night. Bringing a taste of the famous Blue Bird Café and a Nashville tradition to the mountains of Kentucky, Songwriters Nights have been a popular method for producers and record companies to discover new artists as well as many of the songs that have become hits in all musical genres (country, pop, rock, bluegrass, etc.). Josh Pennington will host this first Mountain Songwriters Night with songwriters and singers from the region that have all levels of experience and perform a variety of musical genres. The Mountain Songwriters Night promises to be the first of many great evenings of entertainment, and a wonderful opportunity to hear some of the best songwriters and musicians in the region and the stories behind their songs.
