This captivating tale of two traveling workers, George and Lennie, illuminates their quest for the American dream. But as all too often happens, "the best laid schemes o' mice and men" go awry in this timeless American masterpiece. America’s longest-running Equity theatre is proudly revitalizing its touring tradition beginning in the fall of 2009 with John Steinbeck’s masterpiece Of Mice and Men. In addition to this public evening performance Barter Theatre will be presenting a matinee performance for area students and the public to attend. They are also available to conduct a workshop at an area school. See the Arts Education Schedule for more information.
This presentation of the Barter Theatre production Of Mice and Men is an American Masterpieces project supported by the Southern Arts Federation and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art, and in partnership with the Kentucky Arts Council.
