Breast cancer survivor Holly Henson says turning disaster into laughter in her Tickled Pink standup comedy show is something she is very proud of. Currently chemoing again for a small return, Henson describes her act as irreverently upbeat, with a positive message. "Everybody's all doom and gloom. No one talks about the benefits of cancer. Like...I'm 49, I should look like Aunt Bea and I look like Courtney Cox. It brings out the best in people, it clarifies issues, makes you appreciate lifeand did I mention, I'm a size 6?" Henson also points out that while other organizations have people run, walk or race for a cure, at her comedy show they can drink pink. "Drink for the cure," I like to say," she says with a grin. So far her Tickled Pink show has raised $4,000 for cancer organizations, while encouraging health awareness during a night of fun. Henson talks about hunting fanatics, "too late" beauty tips and demonstrates how to make breast implants out of common household items. Men as well as women appreciate Henson's observations in a hilarious show that celebrates laughter and life.
