The War Memorial, a 1910 mansion and the former home of the Russell Alger family, is now a center for enrichment in honor of veterans. Designated as a state and national historic site, the center hosts a variety of programs including dance, art, music, theater and personal enrichment as well as a multitude of children's and youth programs.
The Grosse Pointe War Memorial hosts over 2,000 functions annually and serves an estimated 100,000 individuals.
