Friends of Florence County Library Presents Award-Winning Author, Ron Rash

Ron Rash,is the Parris Distinguished Professor in Appalachian Cultural Studies at Western Carolina University.The Southern Appalachian Mountains is a region that has inspired the author‘s works of poignant loss and redemption.
Rash’s current work, Serena, has achieved the New York Times notable book of the year. He is a second time PEN/Faulkner Award Finalist, named Best Novel of the Year by Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance and Best Book of the Year by many national publications.
