Christmas time is just around the corner, which means the second annual Christmas at Sorghum Valley will be here soon.
The wildly popular Christmas at Sorghum Valley will take place on Dec. 10, 11 and 12 from 6-9 p.m. at Sorghum Valley within the Dyer County fairgrounds.
Admission will be a donation(s) of canned food, coats, animal food, eyeglasses, hearing aids, books or money.
Numerous activities will be taking place to keep everyone entertained as Sorghum Valley will be decorated and lit up to take you back to Christmases of days past.
The Dyersburg FFA Chapter will host story time each night at 6:30 and 7. They will be accepting books as donations.
There will also be free popcorn, hot chocolate, a live nativity scene, over 30 decorated Christmas trees, musical performances, a silent auction for wreaths, a basket weaver and of course the lovable old Saint Nick himself, Santa Clause who will be passing out candy. And there may even be the possibility for a chance of snow ...
All of the donated items will go toward Mathew 25:40, the Union Mission, the Salvation Army, the State Gazette's Coats for Kids program, the Dyer County Humane Society and the Lion's Club hearing and sight programs.
