WHY WE LOVE IT: This corner bakery/bistro/wine bar is situated in a grand old building with uneven hardwood floors and exposed brick and well-placed antiques, Edith Paif and Charles Aznavour make stopping here almost mandatory.
WHAT TO GET: A small green salad, Croque madame, a crisp white wine and a cup of coffee.

We stopped first for lunch on a whim while strolling downtown Durango in May 2008. Loved it so much that we came back twice for breakfast!
Service and food was excellent along with the charming and historical decor.
Looking forward to being in Durango again and returning to try more items on the menu!
