Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato

Enter for the first time through the Detroit Science Center doors in the new part of building. The exhibit is a 10,000 square-foot traveling exhibit from Guanajuato, Mexico featuring 36 accidental mummies. The exhibit immerses visitors in the world of a Mexican city more than 100 years ago where the deceased naturally mummified in their crypts. The exhibit combines science, history and cultural anthropology. Recommended for age 13 and older.
