Student Heritage Day is a history lesson, well disguised as good old-fashion fun. This interactive program teaches students about their Appalachian heritage. Public and private school classes, home-schooled students, and individual parents and children.Children learn, through hands-on experience, about life in the old days. Among activities offered are spelling bees, blacksmithing, carving soap, playing the spoons, clogging, old fashioned games
5,000 attendees expected.
