Artists' Forum MMA First Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 pm FREE! Area artists discuss their work as well as current issues and activities in their artistic fields. Co-presented with The Charlotte Chapter of the Links, Inc. and McColl Center for Visual Art. December 1 - Susan Brubaker Knapp & Janet A. Lasher Susan Brubaker Knapp's and Janet A. Lasher's award-winning quilts have been exhibited at many national and international venues. While Knapp's core materials - cloth and thread - are used in traditional quilting, she also employs fabric paints and dyes, Tyvek and water-soluble wax pastels to transform the cloth. Lasher combines printmaking, surface designs and embellishment techniques into her two- and three-dimensional interpretive works. She finds inspiration from the world's cultures. To learn more about the artists, visit bluemoonriver.com and janetlasher.com. Supported in part by the generous contribution of Sandra & Leon Levine.
