The Geauga Theater was built in 1939 and, as a movie theater, served for 60 years as a community focal point and a place for a night out. More than a few area adults fondly report receiving their “first kiss” in the darkness of the Geauga Theater.
In 2003, the GLTG renovated the theater auditorium in 45 days on a budget of approximately $45,000. This tremendous accomplishment is a testament to the dedication of our many volunteers and the kindness of our many donors, all of whom remained determined to create a beautiful and solid community theater.
