The Turner Brigade (Civil War re-enactors) and friends from the Civil War Roundtable of Cape Girardeau will hold an encampment.

Re-enactors will demonstrate life in a Civil War fort during the time of the American Civil War including:
-Civil War camp life.
-Infantry drill and rifle loading and firing.
-Artillery drill and firing.
-Ladies fashions.
-Hands-on drill experience for visitors.

Fort D Historic Site is an original earthworks fort dating from 1861. It is located off of Sprigg Street, four blocks south of MO Rte 74.
