Hank's

For Those of you who are visiting us for the first time, you're in for a real treat! For our old friends are aware that Hank's is known for its homestyle soups and salad bar and friendly family oriented service. By family, we mean two things- families are always welcome and our family is always here! Alice and Hank established this restaurant in April 1971. Hank could be found behind the bar at that time, and Alice was cooking in the kitchen.With eight employees, their third restaurant has definitely grown with the family.(The first was The Times Square, 1960-68; the second wasthe Meadow Steak House, 1968-70.) The Kitchen has doubled in size to accommodate two dining roomadditions. The lounge which was once called "The Hanky Panky Room",has been expanded and remodeled into a second dining room and renamed "Killingly Room." In 1980 a third addition was made called "The Rollyn Room" after Alice's and Hank's daughter and son-in-Law Lyn and Roland.It wasn't until 1982, however, that Lyn and Roland officialy joined the staff. Now they both manage the restaurant and can be found preparing food, serving drinks and seating people.
