Holiday Event at Brookfield Zoo

This event is a fundraiser for the chapters Margaret Keldie Scholarship Fund. Proceeds will provide scholarships to full-time and part-time Junior, Senior, and Graduate women students intending to pursue a career in accounting. To date, we have awarded 251 scholarships with a total value of $134,750. Buy a raffle ticket and win half of the ticket proceeds. Shop the silent auction for holiday gifts and decorations. In the past, items have included crafts, gift cards to restaurants and local businesses, and new items donated by our members.
Invite your colleagues and business associates to network with ASWA members and guests we celebrate the holidays. Bring your entire family to this fun event. Your event ticket includes general zoo admission, parking and a complete plated lunch (chicken entre). Plan to visit the zoo before or after lunch to see the animals and the beautiful holiday decorations. The zoo is open until 5 pm.
Brookfield Zoo located at 1st Avenue and 31st Street, in Brookfield (14 miles west of the Loop. Use South Parking Lot.
Directions: From Chicago, the Zoo is accessible from the Eisenhower Expressway I-290 west; exit at 1st Avenue south. Coming from the north, use Tri-State Tollway I-294 south; exit at 22nd Street east. Coming from the south, take the Tri-State Tollway I-294 north to the Stevenson Expressway I-55 north exit toward Chicago and exit at 1st Avenue north. Proceed from 1st Avenue following the signs south to the south entrance located west of 1st Avenue on Ridgewood. Just past the Riverside Brookfield High School, the first block you come to is Golf Road. Make a right turn. After entering the zoo, pass the kiosks and make a left turn into the south parking lot. Go through the arches and go to the building on the left marked South Gate Reception. Let the attendant know you have an appointment with Catered Events.
