Penciling: Artists of the Colored Pencil Society of America

Penciling is one of St. John’s most diverse exhibits. It includes the work of nine artists. All express their creativity in colored pencil, a powerful but often overlooked tool. These artists use their skills with the pencil in a painterly manner. Their techniques vary from the abstract to the realistic. Their subjects display great range, from coastal landscapes and still lifes to wolves and flowers.
