Prince of Peace Lutheran Church

Founded in 1979 in Baxter, MN, we are a congregation of baptized Christians intently focused on God's Word and its power to save us from our sins and give us the certainty of eternal life in heaven. We are evangelical in that the Gospel ("good news") of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is at the very heart of our life together. We are Lutheran in that we fully subscribe to the historic, Scriptural position of that church body which is firmly rooted in the pure teachings of Jesus and His Apostles, truths that have stood the test of time to this very day. Worship and mission take precedence at Prince of Peace. Their priority is reflected in architectural design of our new church building, completed in 2007. Our services of worship reflect a rich Lutheran heritage-in sung hymns, prayer, and the preaching and teaching of the full counsel of God's Word (not pop psychology; not flimsy promises of worldly wealth, health, or success). Worship is centered on Christ: who He is, what He has accomplished for us, and the resultant promise of glory that we share in Him, all to be received with reverent praise and joyful thanksgiving. The mission of the Church is Christ at work-through all Christians-to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). This we do by diligently hearing His Word together and truly caring for one another with Christ-like love. We invite you to be with us. You will always be welcomed at Prince of Peace.
