Hawk, I'm Your Brother, the beautiful Caldecott Award winning story by Byrd Baylor, explores the world of Rudy Soto, a Native American boy whose longing to fly causes him to steal a baby hawk. Rudy hopes that by nurturing the baby hawk its spirit will enter his own, and they will learn to fly together. In a touching conclusion, the boy learns he must let the hawk go. In Wild Swan's production, the hawk is portrayed by both a puppet and a dancer with original music provided by Native American singer/songwriter Joe Reilly.
